Ashford

Working alongside SEEDA, Scott Brownrigg was commissioned to undertake a major review of and prepare an outline proposal for the total regeneration of 8 acres of prime sustainable land at the heart of Ashford.

With the town expecting to double in size by 2031 to include 28,000 new jobs and 31,000 new homes, Scott Brownrigg was approached by SEEDA to deliver a proposal that will be issued in support of development guidelines for the significant urban regeneration of the area.

The framework of ideas used key movement desire routes, challenges & opportunities, views and vistas, design options, land value diagrams, and a detailed planning context to inform and combine with 3rd party work to illustrate a remarkable intensive railway and town centre setting for this new part of Ashford and deliver a blueprint for 750,000sqft of mixed-use, retail, residential and commercial offices in support of Ashford’s future aspirations to develop as a leading town at the heart of the Southeast.
