Ely Lily Pharmaceuticals

Rationalisation of their European operation led to the need for Ely Lily to expand their existing UK R+D site facilities. 

Appointed to create the masterplan and strategic design analysis which included a new two-storey, 2,300 sqm headquarters office building. In addition, a new restaurant and social meeting building situated between the existing campus laboratories and office facilities provided the opportunity to create a social hub encouraging communication and dialogue between research and administrative teams. 

The design met a number of challenges which involved the successful navigation of group discussion culminating in a design brief for both the building and the interiors together with the extremely high standards required for acoustic privacy and the practicality of demanding site security and protocol.
